Crumbling (Family portrait), 2025

A row of small sandcastles, referencing the colonial walls of Old San Juan, slowly crumbles on top of photographs of me and my family. Combining children’s play and memory, this installation explores colonialism as a conditioning process that impacts every member of a lineage, both individually and collectively.
