This series of prints originated during my time as a 2024 Fellow at the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop. It explores the dual role of sand as both a physical material and a metaphor. In Puerto Rico, the beach symbolizes leisure and tourism, benefiting the visitor economy. However, it also serves as a politically significant space for local residents who face ongoing struggles in their daily lives.
